Inside Story - Why is Chinese economy slowing?
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
Countries around the globe are nervously watching what is happening to the Chinese economy - and fear the potential knock on effects. New government statistics say China's GDP grew last year by almost seven percent - many other countries would be delighted by that. But its the lowest growth for 25 years - and another sign that the heady days of record-breaking economic expansion are long gone. The true situation could be even worse - some analysts do not believe the official data. As the world's second biggest economy again stalls, countries which export commodities such as oil and iron ore to China are suffering - with the possibility of worse to come. So, what has gone wrong? And should the world be concerned? 西方媒体:坚持中国崩溃论一百年不动摇,还剩七十年

I see this video seems to be getting a wide range of responses. I can certainly see why this economic slow down might alarm many economists (etc), especially with the great population that its economy has to cater for.

I love my country and I am not stupid. China's economy is 5x of India's. Even if China grows on an average of 5% for the next decade compared to India's 7%, it will take a generation to catch up. China was an anomaly that no democratic country can replicate cause you just can't kill hippie liberals that hamper mad growth.

I like Pauline Loong. She looks like a crazy professor that tells it to your face without the fluff.
-
the world suffers because of the economic and monetary systems, which are designed to enrich a tiny elite, not to make sense or really work for the rest of the world, and this is the same the world over

It's sad how people think a successful China means a poor u.s ecconomy. this isn't true the Chinese people are just like us they have families and want a good standard of living. China's ecconomy is slowing for the same reason America's ecconmy is slowing it's big government, state involvment in the ecvonmomy, devaluing of currency. if China has a recesion it will effect america and many other countries as well. The growth of China is good the growth of big government on the other hand is bad.
-
I wish the best for the Chinese people. just like in many countries they suffer from big government.

Its funny how western media keeps bad mouthing China. While they have been doing so for 30 plus years. China has kept growing. They bad mouth the CCP but this government has lifted millions out of poverty in a shorter time than any western economy can dream off. Just cause of a little slow down they start to bad mouth it like they have anything better. 6 percent is still good for a economy of Chinas size. While America keeps falling into debt the size of Chinas economy China is still growing.
While Americas democraziness is destroying the world dropping bombs they cannot afford all over the world. China like the smart businessmen / women are growing the world. -
Pauline Loong knows what's up. Very concise, very straightforward.

relying to much Chinese is big mistake there should be balance
they have been cooking books to much like in building 60 million flats which are empty to expensive -
a lot of china lives in slums, and they are obviously too stupid to realize that COMMUNISM DOES NOT WORK JUST LOOK HOW RUSSIA FELL!
