It is true we are still dealing with some long term effects, I was referencing how long for the economy to recover, which was the 1980s. Your second statement would be fair too.

Actually I still have one: A professor of mine said that we are still dealing with some of the effects that arose when OPEC raised prices - you say that it took about 15 years to get out though. Are the effects of it non-existent present day, or are we still enduring it as he says? Also, would you agree with the idea that the gas hike lead to the death of the prosperity of single income families in America?
