It follows years of so-called Abenomics, a set of economic policies championed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Also on the programme: Europe's steel industry is going through a baptism of fire. Losses are racking up and thousands of jobs have been lost in the past six months. Steel bosses and workers are accusing Chinese manufacturers of steamrolling the European market. Finally, what would you do if the government gave you an income unconditionally? It may sound too good to be true, but in Germany an organisation is handing out just that sum to a handful of people. Participants are picked by chance, but it's not a lottery of the classic kind. It's a trial project to test how a basic income, or a citizen's wage, would work in practice. The Abenomics is just about printing money. And devalue the Yen. Of course it won't work.
But the French economy is a bigger problem, not only for France or Europe, it is a threat to world peace . Essentially, Greece has paced the time bomb and France has shut the exit. Everyone knows the Greek debt is not sustainable. But every time a hint about allowing Greek default sent the bond market panicking. The hope was to have all the "too big to fail" putting their house in order first before announcing the inevitable and bracing for the day-after. It is not a fabulous dream to start with. But France is dashing this humble muddle-thru. -
Japan's economy is hurting because they aren't having enough kids. That simple.

They would love to pretend everyone would get paid that minimal wage, or that there'll be no austerity measures, while increasing taxes, wouldn't they?

Abenomics = Bubble Economics
It's bound to go pffft. Just a matter of time. -
These stupid bourgeois Bolsheviks and there socialism. To alleviate the problem of complicated welfare programs we propose a flat payment to the lazy, stupid, unproductive and burdensome members of our society by taking money from the hard-working, smart, productive and industrious members of our society. Because that's how a civilization prospers right? By punishing the productive and subsidizing the the failures. I have a real question for and leftists out there. What is more likely to happen, the productive people becoming less productive (when the more they earn the less they get) or the lazy people becoming less lazy (when the less they earn the more they get)?
