1. Gold has no utility in the world today and what little utility it has left is diminishing as technology continues to advance. These guys know the economy, no question. I seriously doubt any of them truly understand what the Blockchain is and how it will impact the world. We move forward, not backward. Gold used as currency officially died in the 70s, like manufacturing, it's not coming back. They are simply out of touch. Nostalgia is not a winning strategy in my humble opinion. I doubt either of these two understand technology beyond email and web browsing.
   
   Once you understand the implication of electronic transfer of value without a 3rd party, then you can realize it's true potential. Bitcoin is only the beginning.
   
   When the Internet was invented, could we have imagined Google Maps, Facebook, Amazon and Cloud Computing? De-centralization is the future end of story.

3. facts are that Bitcoin is actually used as currency. nobody uses gold as currency. can I pay for anything over Internet with gold? no.
   
   also, it seems that Peter and Jim don't understand there are many uses for the blockchain.
   
   I respect these gold bugs but they are simply dinosaurs when it comes to technology.
