The roots of the movement lie in the growing outrage many felt in the wake of the 2008 global financial crisis. However, according to Alexa O'Brien from Occupy New York and US Day of Rage, they are also responding to a "Global Political Crisis, because our institutions no longer function." Aaron Peters from Occupy London agrees that political failure is a "global phenomenon", with power shifting to unaccountable non-democratic institutions. So revelatory, love the video. Dang, I learned a new word from Julian. I thought I had the most expansive vocabulary possible. "Effete" is the word. I am hard to challenge in terms of that, and he did it! Thank you. I am edified.

I think you should take this show on the road liken to a rock concert yet with the reverse effect on society to be expected . People would pay to be enlightened covering the arena cost.

I support the Occupy movement, but its tactics are still a mess. It's no surprise, either. These guys are all starry-eyed 'lovies'. Most discernbile when Assange asks them about using force. They um and er and ahh and laugh it off, but in the real world, real movements producing real change need it. Which is another part of the problem. The starry eyes are all of for "our achievements". "We occupied space and said 'this is ours'!" Super. And how many potatoes did it put on the plate?

my god it is amazing that the powers in charge do not see the apocryphal value in Julian Assange. He needs to be protected by us all. When he shows in your neighborhood you all need to hit the streets.
