He is the author of many books, the most recent of which include UK Deutscher Memorial Prize winner The Making of Global Capitalism: The Political Economy of American Empire and In and Out of Crisis: The Global Financial Meltdown and Left Alternatives. He is also a co-editor of the Socialist Register, whose 2013 volume is entitled The Question of Strategy.

Before the interview,l will make this comment.What ever Trump does if the middle class does not begin to recover this country and its economics are going to suffer greatly.All the benefits have very clearly been rising to the top,the economic oxygen has starved the working people of the U.S.The U.S.consumer has been all but starved out.Next play from the people will be cash removal from the system,how would they like that?
