:D this is horrible! If you do this on hardest difficulty you will never reach 50% happiness for independence. BTW a few well placed farms can produce more than all this..

I think that for this play-through,later in the game (when you have more people) you should move the residential area farther away from the teamsters and the factory's and Farms, to avoid congestion of the road system.
Maybe you could make a secondary highway type thing, so that way the different drivers take different routes on the road.
Either way, when you get metro stations, your traffic would be fixed. -
What do Tropicans use as a currency? Bananas? Tropicans? Cotton? El Presidente's?
