Lankan Born Mr. Rajan Anandan, who is heading Google's India operations, spoke at the recently concluded Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2016, which was organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Here he spoke on the importance of Sri Lanka building a sound base of IT skilled workforce to take advantage of the growing IT sector. He also recommends Sri Lanka to hire Computer Scientists and Software Engineers from India, until the country builds its base. Anandan also emphasized on the need to introduce new courses into Sri Lankan Universities such as 'Data Sciences', which he believes is vital for the sectors growth in the country.
