The South American seems to want to understand the root of this corruption through contra ct law and property while the other gentleman seems to be thinking he might get into Naomi,s pants.

Derivatives - is like buying tickets for Elvis and instead getting an Elvis impersonator who in turn sends a sub on the gig . Then you find out Elvis was booked on 10000 gigs for the same night

Guys that explain finance as a gambling place fill italian bars. 32:00 How did he won a nobel prize? I really find it disturbing
33:00 "The bail outs are led by unregulated free markets (OMG) and the solution is regulation"
Now you've said it all joe. Thank you. Now i really know who not to listen to. No really, i thought some smart guys from the left could make an argument. Wrong was i
41:30 Naomi fail to see that "they" "who suck our entire wealth" is really OUR GOVERNMENTS bailing out private entities. Is it private entities' fault for asking? let's say yes, but is it governments' fault for paying with our money their debt? of course it is. And who do we have control on, private or public institutions? So where do we want a change? And there's a word for people's control of private entities.
looks like de soto is the only one having arguments anyway.. -
not sure if one can speak of property rights and power without addressing human and perhaps nature rights. our continued genocidal policies and actions towards indigenous peoples is unacceptable, and in this day and age continued genocidal policies, given history is unforgivable. enlightening discussion, wish you folks would spend 2 weeks really breaking down these topics, couple hours is just too short for the importance of your topic

Are Stiglitz and Klein crazy? We have not been under neoliberal policies for a LONG FUCKING TIME, we've been following their shit model for a great period of time and it's not working!!!!!!!!!
-
Another poor discussion. Land, rent, and georgism need to be at the center of this debate.
-
Naomi Klein is a lightweight on this panel.
-
Why does the title leave out Hernando de Soto? Very interesting, CUNYMedia.
-
Has Hernando de Soto ever found a problem that property rights didn't solve?
-
They are all drinking bottled water.. credidbility gone
-
de Soto's long term perspective is brilliant! The other two sound like a broken record with a 1 year perspective.

The problem with power is that, for it to be felt, it has to hurt. So, people who lust for power, can't help but injure, if their desires are to be achieved.
That's why Congress rations dollars, much as in earlier times clerics restricted reading and writing skills to their own acolytes.
Deploying worthless symbols to subjugate is really clever. -
Capitalism, as it has evolved, is nothing more than virtual cannibalism--humans devouring their own kind, but not really. Perhaps the Christian ritual of sacrifice models it.
Originally, capital just referred to the designation of accumulated assets and resources for future use. This capitalism is basically time-dependent. People without a sense of time don't get it. -
Dr Joseph Stiglitz reminds me of Bill Maher.

Hernando de Soto Polar is an economic genius.... He takes more than his fair share but in return he uses his power and influence to not fist fuck the population.
If we ever see a world dictatorshipn or technocracy hope that he or someone like him is in charge of economic policy. -
Hernando de Soto shouldn't be ever invited again stupid , useless person with 0 contribution
-
Naomi Klein has no standing in this or any discussion of its kind. She's a 2 bit journo, who writes vaguely enough to interest dopey children, with infantile fantasies of taking on the capitalist system, just go home and enjoy your iPhones and McDonald's. you uncultured brats and stop giving this undeserving harpy a soap box to stand on, she needs to open it and use the contents.
-
Why does every discussion begin with a long opening speech that has nothing to do with the subject of the video? Can't this fluff be cut out? This ritual of chanting the complete resume of each participant could be shortened a lot.
