awesome debate.

Interesting debate Judiciary versus executive....Justice Lodha was awesome especially his coolness..Arun Jaitley superb debator...So funny to see DasGupta constantly attacking Justice Dawhan.
-
Excellent debate as always.
-
Judiciary should be Independent it is unquestionable at the same time the transparency or credibility of the same should be maintained. Now by claiming independence of the judiciary one cannot rule over the view of credibility and claim that as we are independent from legislature or executive we are credible and transparent. This debate would have been much successful in resolving the issue if it would have been took place after Sri. Hon'ble Justice Jasti Chelameswar views on collegium.

Arun Jaitly Is One Of Best Orator Of India

Amazing debate, wish there would have been female representation though

Legislature Vs Judiciary |
Arun Jaitley Vs Justice R M Lodha
I think we are all are agree that the person from judiciary is always obedient to law and follow it ethically, However, in executive, we have seen prime Minister like Dr. Manmohan Singh and Present like Pratibha Patil. I agree that judiciary must be separated completely. It's only the Constitutional body that are saving the Constitution completely. -
awesome debate
-
Dhawan was terrible. Sorabjee barely spoke. And Lodha was no match for Jaitley.
-
Arguments of Justice Lodha and Mr Dhawan are actually hollow, there oppposition wins hands down.
-
Rajiv Dhawan was making good points, if we ignore his insulting comments on one of the moderators.I have more faith in judiciary than the legislative. Because it is the judiciary which has been protecting the Constitution. Of course, we must see more transparency and accountability with the Collegium.
-
Mr. Rajiv was very crude & rude, But while I tried to understand his point He was the only person true to the point. Hats off to Mr. Rajiv. All others were very right politically. This debate should remain in the archives of Arnab.

I am compelled to write this ....I had great respect for Mr. Lodha given his stellar personality ...but alas! what i found out was.. his arguments where so banal, lacking in reasoning and to the point of being vacuous...If this is the level of intellect of our judges which is filled with hackneyed articles of constitution as their arguments and not even having the proper grasp of the moot point then we are simply at the grave risk of being at the whims of a class (read judges) which is even more dynastic then the eternally bashed politicians...while on the other hand Mr. Jaitley showed that politics still is fed by the brightest of the lot with his outstanding and stellar arguments that were full of facts and rationality ...besides maintaining his poise even under the intermittent mudslinging and acrid attacks by very smart Rajiv Dhawan
-
Audience are so uneducated, they clamp so randomly. in any case Judiciary is failed in India. even Y S Jagan Reddy is roaming freely on road
-
Here Rajiv Dhawan is talking like a politician.
-
politicians over taking judiciary is very dangerous to nation and also constitution.
-
I appreciate this debate as it occurred in a debatable environment. There must a system to appoint judges.judges. Lakhs of cases are pending.Judges even if their verdicts are challenged in upper courts go unpunished.A judge must be upright, just, reasonable and rational & impartial. He must be honest & sincere and looking to be so in heart & spirit. But if not so there must be some provision for the same.We cannot expect good judiciary from bad legislature
