"Demand will grow less than 2%"
Yeah, demand is growing, that's why the Baltic Dry is at all time lows. Media and govt BS never ends. Don't believe anything they tell you, all lies. -
maybe we just don't need anymore stuff.?

its much more than just excess capacity - the middle class has been destroyed - they are the consumers and they need jobs - if you pay the Chinese worker what an american middle class worker gets - it would not work because the Chinese culture dos not spend same as the american culture dos - this whole mess is not a financial issue - it is a structural issue - bring back the middle class american jobs and stop running to the least common denominator and the economy will rebuild - keep doing what your doing and it will all come to a stop - lower the shipping rates all you want - it dos not matter because the american consumer is dead - soon even lowering the price at the till will not matter - people are broke - just look at the commercials on TV - they are increasingly desperate - TV shows you exactly the mind set of the consumer and the seller

where can i get the cost of renting a ship?
-
This doesn't mean jack except cheaper rates for the smart ones. The dumb ones who don't have efficient ships will get outcast, no loss at all to consumers, what a bogus lie. If you get lower gas, that doesn't hurt it helps the economy and enables more competition. Only the strongest survive... every time a market gets flooded, rates go down, a win for everyone. If they arent making profit then they need to change the rates to meet their profit needs.

I dont understand why the video is showing container vessels when it is talking about capesize vessels...
-
they're going to make a movie that's similar to fast and the furious except they rob containers off of these ships instead.
-
Why don't they make it more accessible and affordable for people to move countries and move their furniture with them? People do want their stuff around them. Be it a necklace their mum gave them or the dinning table their children ate when they were little. Stuff carries memories.
