President Omar al-Bashir has always had opponents, but he is now facing what some are calling unprecedented popular dissent. The National Forces Alliance, a grouping of political factions opposed to the government, are trying to capitalise on that. The group says that the people of Sudan have overcome their fear of Bashir. After creating a plan for post-Bashir Sudan, the alliance wants to push for mass demonstrations and acts of civil disobedience.
