Private institutions in Seoul forecast that the Korean economy will expand by 3-point-7 percent next year. This is the median for 17 private research institutes,... who also believe the economy will grow at an even slower pace than that in the first two quarters of 2015. Foreign investment banks are even more pessimistic. They forecast growth at an average of 3-point-6 percent next year,... citing the weak Japanese yen′s effect on Korean exports... and weak consumer sentiment. All are lower that the 4 percent goal set by the government and the 3-point-9 percent set by the central bank.
