The University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School, in particular the Management and Economics subject areas, has designed and will deliver this innovative degree, which capitalises upon the research and teaching strengths of each subject area. The School celebrates the legacy of Adam Smith by developing enlightened and enterprising graduates and internationally-recognised research with real socio-economic impact. The School is an accredited member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Programme overview MSc: 12 months full-time; PgCert 9 months full-time; You will gain expertise in international business, including strategic management and financial management. You will also be introduced to key topics such as intellectual property protection, ethics and corporate and social responsibility. In addition you will be equipped with the understanding and knowledge of financial and investment decision making. The assessed units of this programme will be complemented with a personal and career development workshop programme scheduled to run through semesters one and two. The workshop programme will consist of two distinct elements of non-assessed activity: Reflective learning exercises -- including induction events, strategic case analyses and a business ethics debate Career development sessions -- involving essay and exam answering workshops, CV writing sessions, interview simulations, careers advice shops and job market analysis meetings.
