you make no sense this not how it works. what the hell

The price of grain, the number of hungry people in the world and the number of failed states worldwide are all indicators of the coming global economic collapse.
-
The price is increased because, of the inflation like the american federal reserve is making 1 trillion dollars a year.
-
The main reason for hunger in the world today in Africa and othr places is war and corrption. Zimbawe used to be the bread basket of Africa, as the Ukraine before Stalin destroyed food production by means of collective farms. There is no reasn why people cannot change the their eating habits. As for globalization, it should be called "americanization". I live in Peru and I find that most of the locals unquestionably accept anything American. If I were to open a store here, I would give it some Ameriican name. 20% of the food produced is wasted. Here in Peru there are wonderful foods like quinoa, kwicha, maca and otaher great foods which the Inca used to eat. Why not promote these and other excellent and nutritious foods? It is question of political will.

"Anti-racists" say there's a RACE problem. They say it'll be solved when non-Whites pour into ALL & ONLY White nations and "assimilate" to get a brown mixture. They say only White nations have this RACE problem; they say non-White nations are fine. If I object to my own genocide these "anti-racists" say I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews. They say they're anti-racist. What they are is anti-White. Anti-racist is a codeword for anti-White.

I always thought that in 2011, our global supply of food was capable to sustain a population of 11 billion. This production consisted of wheat, veggies, fruits, the likes. What happened was that more than half of the food was used by livestock and ethanol for petrol and diesel.
-
they all print money to prevent debt defaults. also it not currency war if everyone inflates the same amount.
-
The Irish ran out of food because they relied too heavily on a single crop that suffered a plague, not because their population became too great. Malthus' prediction has NEVER come true anywhere. Even if more efficient methods were never found (though they are being found every day), more people in the world produce more food, and the number of farmers adjusts itself in accordance with food demand.
-
David Attenborough spoke about this in his talk entitled People and Planet which can be found on youtube of the same name. It's really worth watching. David McWilliams seems to be the first economist to attempt to explain this dilemma of ever increasing populations on a finite resource known as planet earth. Something's gotta give.

The great thing about this is that we don't even need the government to do this. The free market does it on it's own. If someone sells unsafe food and they're individually liable, they can go out of business from just one bad transaction. Regarding pollution, if you pollute the water, and the water comes into my land, I can sue you individually for the damages. Same for the air. If you make my air quality low, I can sue you for damages. Individual Liability is the answer, not more government reg
-
That's a nice suggestion, the government has been so noneffective at regulating anything successfully that I nearly agree... the FDA just approves whatever they are told to approve. The EPA labels anything safe in exchange for funding. Still I dream of a government that could set policies that lead to positive changes and birth of fair industries, instead it seems they pander to anyone who has a pocketbook. Govt shouldn't be based on money but enforcing correct, just ideals.
-
And this is the inherent flaw in allowing government to regulate business for the protection of the individual. Individuals have essentially no influence on politicians because the value of one vote and the amount of money an individual can contribute is negligible. Businesses can influence because they contribute vast monies and organize large blocks of votes, so they get what they want. What's the solution? Remove government from the market. Let everyone compete on a level playing field.
-
Here I think we are 100% in agreement. The idea of operating for profit without any accountability or responsibility to society is absurd. That being said unless demand for justice is unanimous the govt will avoid addressing the real issue because of the money that they receive from corporations. I don't understand why any individual would feel the need to stand up for big oil. They don't need any help protecting themselves, they already own everything. We are mere slaves to their whims.
-
There is an easy fix that none of the corporations are going to like. Eliminate the corporate entity from the law books. Limited liability means you can get away with stuff. Individual citizens don't get that perk. Eliminate the corporate limited liability entity, and require all businesses to make someone individually accountable. Then if anything goes wrong, they aren't shielded by the corporation. They 100% as accountable as the little guy and the playing field is even.

How many MPG and miles per day do you drive, and I'll tell you if you are in the race to run out or not :P
-
The core problem is still that the process of making money turns a blind eye to the negative impacts that it can get away with. When the only body that has the power for oversight is corrupted by money then there is no easy way to separate capitalism from the process of corporatism and collusion. Capitalism entails that there will be competition that will bring better results, not an oil based transportation monopoly. The playing field is not level.

The "rich world"? I don't think so, there are plenty of fat poor people in the USA. As for your 2 billion theory, BAH! You can fit every man woman and child and give them each 7/8 ths of an acre of land and they would ALL fit in South America, w/ plenty of land to farm. A family of 8, would have 7 acres, which is enough land to produce food for 7 families of 8 people each. You have a noble heart, but you have been taught a incorrectly, concerning sustainability.

...Not if more value in new goods and services is produced than new dollars. For example: inflationdata. com/inflation/inflation_rate/currentinflation. asp tinyu rl. com/3eyhj5r See the deflation in 2009? That was occurring while the money supply was expanding.
