Looks like whoever prepared the speech thought it was meant for undergraduate students and NOT 12th grade. Wish RR had reviewed what he was going to read...

Good English is NOT a sign of Intelligence , Ethics, Morals , Patriotism, or Understanding of India. Most English speakers use it as a Status symbol and show off - but inside them is a collection of wierd Western Theories of Life and Economics. These are called Coconuts ( White inside , Brown outside ) , or , McAulean Bastards - Illegitimate Children of McAulay's Education Policy in India. Raghuram Rajan is a classis example of a Coconut - A Green Card Holder who went once a year to the US , while he was RBi Governer , almost killed Indian Economy by Crippling Interest Rates and Taxes. Good RIddance !

-
one thing which dr Rajan mentioned absolutely correct is do what gives you happiness n you will succeed some day or other instead of doing things that are uncharacteristic of you just for the gamble of succeeding.
-

-
why did they open up an international school, India has atleast 200m poor children who cant get good basic education and Ambani's are wasting money bringing in foreign faculty and teaching foreign students, Ambani's are the most corrupt family in India wasting India's precious money.

Sorry for asking but what was the awesome advice?
-
Apologies for interrupting the pleasure but some really pedestrian example from American society gets projected as of great influence as to what markets. money and economy is. And how the whole world should stop spinning and marvel at that example. No wonder people get sent back to academic environs.
-
A central bank or a central bank governor should not wield so much influence over democratic nations as has happened after the financial crisis of 2008.Of course intelligent thoughts and academic discussions have their importance, but they shouldn't hold too much influence over the law making legislatures and executive authorities.
