Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, is tapping Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota), a climate change skeptic, as an energy advisor. Trump himself has called global warming a hoax and an invention of the Chinese. Cramer, North Dakota’s only representative, recently endorsed Trump, saying he appreciates his “America First” attitude and his ability to create jobs. The congressman supports bilateral trade deals, instead of multi-national agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. He says he believes Trump will be able to renegotiate many of the trade deals the US has with foreign nations, finding better terms and holding countries to the terms.   Cramer has been asked to write a white paper for the business mogul on energy policy, but insists Trump will be crafting his own energy strategy.
