1. Genetic engineer, quantum computing, carbon nanobtube technology, nanorobotics, IOT and 5G is the recipe of the future. Cellular regeneration is possible within the decades to come meaning consciousness is no longer constituted or significant at the body level. What then defines consciousness is the awareness of the collective (This is alongside the spiritual evolution humanity and science) in that sense the Ego construct is seen as a tool of brain function much like the subconsciousness. OUR bodies at that point become slaves to our will (consciousness) which is to become a collect as having a higher goal will postulate all of our reasoning to existence. We came from the earth only to go back to it..................... Basically means our new body is the earth itself.

6. That consciousness transferal question was explored rather well in the video game SOMA, which I highly recommend. A Canadian of modern day gets his brain scanned. He wakes up sometime in the future in an underwater laboratory at the ass end of the apocalypse. Without spoiling too much, the question of where does life begin and end is answered is a very brutal, yet realistic way.
   
   I'm an aspiring writer myself. I've added this book to my reading list.

8. well the argument is stronger that consciousness is the physical and chemical structure of the brain, it does not have existence independent from that. scientists can injure or block regions of the brain and achieve predictable results associated with specific targeted regions. also, prosthetic robotic limbs have been demonstrated to interact directly with the brain (check out videos on youtube). transferring consciousness out of the brain would be like transferring sensory feelings out of nerves or the beating out of a heart, or separating wet from water. it doesn't make sense. it's just that the nature of consciousness makes it seem like it's a separate entity than the physical organ which 'houses' consciousness, because consciousness seems more complicated and metaphysical or 'magical' than any other physiological behavior. but it's still the same, it isn't contained within the brain so much as consciousness is the brain. it's an old western philosophical mistake: a mind-body duality, that is to say, 'mind' is separate from 'body,' which has hijacked people's reflection on this, there is no duality. mind is body, it's physical. our egos want to tell us there's something special happening however, what we're really saying is that mind is the soul rather than the brain when we do this.

13. Nope, and I call it the "Transporter Effect", as in from star trek. Do you remember the movie 'The prestige'? Do you remember how it made copies of anything, at any point you put it but the original is still there and needs to be done away with. What they dont tell you about start trek is that the original you is dead and completely dematerialized then a new copy of you is created where ever the "transporter" puts you. There is one episode that tells you the truth about it, I think in deep space 9, where they find a second commander Riker that was created in a transporter malfunction. I also talk about it in my book, a book I lost in a computer catastrophe and never bothered to rewrite.
14. About consciousness transfer...
    Information itself do not have a physical representation, only object wich contain it have that, so to "transfer" information you must copy it and erace original, just like it happens when you cut file from 1 hard drive and past it to the other, wich means willingly erace your personality, or even kill yourself in the process if "trancefer" includes data about vital body maintenance wich our brain do every second.
    For humans it means we cant preform consciousness "transfer" witout putting your brain in to different body, because our consciousness is a result of the work of our brain, yes you can copy and transfer information in to another host but he is not will be you.
    
    Ou, and thats why AI is mortal, and most likely will have a lot less lifespan than we are when it will be firstly invented(CPU lifespan is short).
