In these times marking national resurgence, with global attention and acclaim on Bharat, there seems to be an emergence of deliberate movement to spread negativity and fear, as being reflected by the media and prejudiced intellectuals. There seems a systematic effort at creating disorder to please or protect vested interests and hence, there is a dire need to reflect on the present state of this nation and present an objective picture about the age and times we are living in. Beyond the hype, hypocrisy and hysteria, Bharat needs to be understood and presented as a proud and rich civilization. This annual event to be known as a State of the Nation Conclave was an attempt to counter malicious propaganda and present a positive and powerful image of resurgence and reality. on major four aspects mainly Social, Technological, Economical and Political. Economic:  Bharat till 16th century was contributing to the 40% of the global GDP, till 18th century 20% of the world trade came from Bharat. A global economic power just in last 250 years lost the glory, how and why?  The emergence of India as an economic giant has been ratified by global Countries and Corporations, resulting in a significant shift in the Economic profile. However, has this growth and attention been inclusive and relevant to the diverse stake holders and demographic plethora of Bharat?  Is this evolution more of an imposition of a hybrid ideology or can it leads to a stable and equitable development to the benefit of the Nation. A prospective review of the largest democracy in the world, blessed with Demographic dividend which is set to realize its true potential in transforming the agricultural, industrial and service sector to become a global economic power.  The nature and objective of Economic policies have shifted increasingly to reflect a capitalistic perspective with greater freedom for the strong to survive and prosper with restrained resources for the needs of the poor and provision of welfare initiatives.  As Bharat surges forward as the leader of developing nations, has the focus shifted away from the needs of the predominantly rural and real Bharat? Are we on the path of being the engine of growth of a Global economy or is it an Illusion of our misplaced patriotism? This session shall discuss and debate on the Glory, Threats and Opportunities in Bharatiya Economy.
