1. CNN insulted black people by choosing her. I stared at the screen wondering why it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a black person to do this topic.
2. One day meritocracy preachers will come clean. America was stolen by European gangsters and and its wealth was built on hundreds of years of free black labor, without merit given to their labor based production of hugh America corporate income. African's wealth was stolen by military conquest and gangsters during the Berlin Conference of 1885 was stolen by 16 European nations. The race problem in this country is not about race at all really. It's about stolen wealth. Diving people by race originated by Europeans in their desire to destroy national (descentancy). If both groups of North American nationals who were here before slavery and the so called Afican Americans are classified by a cooler and not a national land mass, then they have no rights at the United Nations, which represents nationals, not colors of skin. Meritocracy only after robbery preached by historically ignorant people, regardless of color is shameful.
3. Soledad O'brien simply could not make it as a journalist, a commentator, a reporter, an anchor. She wasn't completely stupid, so she became a BLACK journalist, a BLACK commentator, a BLACK reporter, a BLACK reporter. Thank god for people like N. D. Tyson, Lester Holt, and some others, who compete with the best on their own terms, contribute and work with the best, and need no "black" to use as leverage. Which is what all these people are doing. They are all unable to compete with the best, and contribute universally, so they limit themselves to blackness, and demand that people be interested. Nice work.
4. Black children as Middle and High school students are not introduced to Coding and Technology type education.

11. Having class and poise transcends color boundaries. If you are trash it will never matter what color you are, and vice versa if you handle yourself professionally people will take you seriously and doors will open for you. I think this really gets lost in race discussions. Even some of the hateful comments on this and other videos, the person is thinking of a time they saw someone of a different race with no class. Its a poor choice to only consider those examples when judging a group.

15. Thank You for featuring this! Black People come in many, many, many shades. We also, have many, many, many different features. For those of us who are Black, we seem to forget this. We get angry when outsiders say "All Black People Look Alike." At the same time many of us feel we have the authority to say who is Black enough and who is not. Or who represents us. This needs to stop! Who are you to tell someone that they are not Black enough or look Black?

The biggest problem i have with her representing blacks is that white america HATES our features: The full lips...dark skin...kinky nappy hair...wide noses...large butts on our females..thick hips...etc. So they try to replace us on tv and the movies and in the media with MIXED people that have the features THEY PREFER. These preferred features are usually incredibly europeanized and FAR from black.
17. Soledad is ALWAYS the person that represents the black voice on CNN or other shows, but looks NOTHING LIKE MOST OF US. that is what I have a problem with. If your going to be s spokesperson for a race atleast PROPERLY REPRESENT the . look and culture of that race. Soledad conveniently picks and chooses when she wants to be a certain race. On 1 show she was saying I'm Latina, and then on another show she says I'm Black. 99% of blks here in the USA Dont have that option, but she REPS US? SMH!!!
