On Monday, the index plunged by over 1,000 points early - and closed the day down 588 points. In terms of the number of points lost, Monday August 24th, 2015 was the eighth-worst single-day loss in the index’s history. A third of S&P 500 companies have declined over 20% from their peaks and many retain high valuations despite disappointing earnings numbers. The United States Dollar Index dropped the most it has in over 5 months today to seven month lows - losing against the Euro and Yen. Oil prices plunged, with the U.S. oil benchmark settling down 5.5% at $38.24 a barrel, its first close below $40 a barrel since February 2009. Some analysis are blaming the China currency devaluation and the drop in the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index – but what is really going on? if he stuck to his facts and was less sarcastic he could be very respected.... be more educational and less expressive.... your condesending nature makes you sound more partisan than philosophical... i like his old videos before he started pandering to the new tea party viewership. he was more neutral in his presentation and had way less commentary.. but this is GREAT info and video still

The stock market, just like every one of our economies, is a complete fabrication. It is not essential to the operation of nations, it can be collapsed and remade to be functional again just like our economies. So ask yourselves why, if it can simly be remade to be a functional system, it is not being done?
Because if the world powers cant control you threw debt slavery and labor bondage they know they will all be burnt in the streets like they have always been throughout history. They finally have a measure o control over the planet via monetary manipulations, they will not give up that control regardless of how flawed the system is.

The FED still has more stealing to do. I think the markets will rebound right after the next FED meeting this month.

I think the big picture question is: How bad does it get? Will heating gas (or gasoline) prices triple? Will Walmart trucks stop running with an extreme credit crunch? Should I have a few small solar chargers for devices because electricity will be so expensive or impossible to get? I know it is impossible to predict, but perhaps someone knows to what extent the US can intervene with resources to keep the wheels on society. Argh. I need a crystal ball, don't I?
