Study Predicts New Economic Superpower By 2030

By 2030, a new study predicts future economic superpower. A study on the global economic power structure predicts that by the year 2030, China will pass the United States as the world's economic super power. The United States will remain a top global power, but no longer number one. The report states: "China alone will probably have the largest economy in the world, surpassing that of the United States a few years before 2030 ... Asia will have surpassed North America and Europe combined in terms of global power, based upon GDP, population size, military spending, and technological investment." After four years of intelligence gathering and analysis of global trends by the National Intelligence Council, the new report predicts markets for countries worldwide, including a list of countries that are at a "high risk of state failure," like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Yemen, Somalia, Burundi and Uganda. Another prediction made by the report is that the majority of the world's population will not be living in poverty for the first time in history, but the balance of this upward mobility is delicate and can be threatened by a lack of access to natural resources. Do you think that China will have the largest and most powerful economy in the coming years?

Way to go "out on a limb" on this one. Isn't this obvious that this will happen?

+dweeper1020 Oh shut up. It isn't their culture-you are just being xenophobic It is their government. They have a centrally planned economy so that is why they impose all of those taxes and rules. The West is consenting to those rules. They do not have to do it. They can strengthen economic ties with other countries like India, Japan, Singapore, Russia, etc but they choose to do it with China so I really don't see them as the victims here.

China will never surpass US in industry and or economic power. China provides
cheap labor but they do not have the know how to establish and run their own corporations. The only reason China's economy is strong is because all the coporations were exported there for cheap labor. Now US companies are shipping out of China because Chinese laborers are demanding higher wages. Here are clues: Chrysler, Ford, GM, GE, and Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, (Japanese) etc. Why are't there any Chinese corporations with Chinese names that are well known outside the domestic market? They only provide cheap labor and known to produce fake and substandard items wihout supervision. They are free loaders. All the other industrialized nations developed their own industires and fought hard in wars for an established life. China did neither, are free loaders and is living off other nation's estalishiments. Who do you know that drives a Chinese car or fought in a Chinese

China is such a disgusting culture. Chinese people don't even play on a level playing field. They tax all of western imports, but we can't tax theirs. They forbid foreigners from buying property and land, but then buy massive amounts of our farm land and real estate. The West plays nicely and fairly; the Chinese get ahead through corruption and sheer volume of people. It's a disgusting culture. Oh sorry, multicultralism. "I like all cultures. All cultures are good. Celebrate all cultures."
