The INNOVATION in AUSTRALIA: People Making the Difference event was held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in December 2011. It showcased innovative Australian companies and demonstrated how an investment in innovation drives the economy, creates jobs, builds productivity and global competitiveness. This video features keynote speaker Dr Stefan Hajkowicz who is a principal scientist with CSIRO leading a diverse portfolio of research on global food security, the future of Australian sport and the personalisation of welfare services. Overseas, Stefan has informed environmental and social policy in Niue, the Cook Islands, Palau and Egypt.
