Given all of the US's problems, how has the US not collapsed in on itself yet?
-
Yay for size accurate projection 2.50
-
So if Congress keeps raising the debt limit every time they get close, what's even the point of having a limit?
-
oh my gosh I didn't realize Obama was taken advantage of all those years, poor baby.
-
no the constitution says that the government may no default on loans this show is full of crap
-
so basically the president isn't needed
-
I hope Trump will fire the congress.
-
Imagine Trump trying to deal with something like what Obama did from the Republicans if the Democrats seize power in Congress?
-
Wait, USA president can' t safe money? He always has to spend everything? Is not becuase you have a budget that you should spend every danm piece of it. Actually, it is just the limit, in every company you should, or better, you must, try to spend less than what was given to you in order to accomplish wherever objective was give to you. Imagine a president who was succesfull safing 5% of his budget, while still being able to adress all the federal obligations, it is extra money who could be used to lower the federal debt or make investments in stock markets, like Norway does.
This is a behaviour who should be encouraged, not forbidden. It is a rather stupid rule. -

You could have easily made this video 1 or 2 minutes longer and explain the FED's and other lenders' involvement in the debt creation and why this creation is unavoidable and with it the raising of the debt ceiling is as well. This video starts well and explain the politics behind but falls short on explaining the economics behind. No like, sorry.

There has been argument that the debt limit is unconstitutional :
"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned." - 14th amendment section 4
It's a risky option to invoke that clause because the Supreme Court hasn't ruled on how it applies but it is an alternative the president has. -
This makes sense considering congress has the hilariously low approval rating of 9%
-
Thanks for explaining that......I think.
-
So TLDR
Congress is a bitch who blames all the financial problems on the President. -
You can blame the elite forces who use the president as a puppet, because they want him to spend more and more money regardless of whose side of the government they're on. Once the debt limit has been confirmed, of course more money will be guzzled out without warning and from there, everyone in the country or multiple countries will financially suffer for decades wherever they like it or not.

Yay america
-
This is not a problem when the president is the same party as President.
-
the stupidity of the government 😒

There's a freakish amount of minor and not-so-minor oddities in the US political system. How you guys maintained a stable form of government over two hundred years is beyond me ^^
