The Digital World in 2030 - Economic Focus

On the 23 April, EIF kicked off the "Digital World in 2030" project with a special workshop discussions. This event has broaden and deepen inputs for our "Digital World in 2030" project, building on our initial "2025" report and our recent joint event with European Commission's "Digital Futures" project (DG CONNECT). EIF looked at the technology, economic, and socio-political dimensions. Here are the main contributions from the panelists and participants, who revisited "2025" scenarios and issues looked forward on the new trends. Rapporteur Peter Linton reported on the main discussion points from the economic workshop. "The Digital World in 2030" report will be available in time for next year's European Parliament elections and a new Commission.
