The Economic Collapse and the Neoliberal Onslaught
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
For decades, the IMF and the World Bank have used the cover of development and restructuring to plunder and loot the developing world. Now, as these institutions begin to set their sights on the struggling economies of Europe and other developed countries, economics professor and Global Research editor Michel Chossudovsky breaks down the true history of the economic crisis and the international financial structure. Find out more about the origins of the economic collapse and its consequences in this week's GRTV Feature Interview.

Recolonization!
-
The IMF and World Bank are run by Criminal Jews, their own Statistics prove Global Poverty is at an all time high. These Institutions must be destroyed in order for Mankind to remain free. Their Agenda is nothing less than the decolonization of the Developing World.

I don't see the point of wasting my time with you if you don't answer the questions. They are dull to those allergic to the truth.
-
I haven't said anything about economics? I simply agreed that the CCP has lifted 400m people out of poverty. Your questions are dull.
-
Your grasp of history is either very limited or you're being deliberately stupid here. Deng Xiaping initiated the reform of the Chinese economy in the 1970's, which freed up capital and labor markets. The Thatcher and Reagan deregulation of Western capital markets meant all that money and investment poured into China because of low unit labour costs. Guess what, they boomed. Your grasp of economics is as poor as your grasp of history. You still haven't answered my questions
-
"The last 30 years have been the largest reduction of absolute poverty in all of human history." That's true. And it's down to the Peoples' Republic of China. As Mao said in 1949 "The Chinese people have stood up." It's very generous of you to recognise the achievments of socialism.
-
So, do you want to prove my statistics wrong, or are you going to keep spouting sloganistic bullshit that doesn't mean a thing? Another statistic for you: this 'onslaught' of capitalism has occured side by side with an explosion in the number of democracies as measured by voting and parliamentary systems. Over 180 now. You have to try again comrade.
-
Well, global inequality is falling. The last 30 years have been the largest reduction of absolute poverty in all of human history. Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa are experiencing economic booms that has ensured most people now eat three squares a day under a roof. An Oxford University study has showed that on current trends, poverty will disappear from Africa and Asia within 20 years. The Millenium Development Goals have been met years before target.

Neoliberalism is globalisation. Corporations don't rule the world. They're more worried about profit margins than politicians. Over 180 banks have closed in America since the recession began. Politicians who collude with businessmen are fascists. Fascism is socialism. Neoliberalism is free trade and capital movements. It doesn't need funding you idiot. It is a method of economics. And it has lifted two billion out of poverty in thirty years. That is a success
-
How is an ideology that believes in small government and minimal state intervention commensurate with fascism, which is corporatist and statist. Are you being deliberately thick? Socialism is fascism really. Both believe in controlling the commanding heights of the economy. Both believe in restricted capital and labor movements. Both rely on violent, militaristic rhetoric and also rely on the Great Man theory of history to drive forward revolution e.g. Lenin, Trotsky, Hitler, Mussolini
-
Poor deluded socialists. You lost. Guess what, the last 30 years have seen the greatest reduction of poverty in human history. 2 billion people have joined the global middle class. Oxford University produced a study showing that absolute poverty in Sub Saharan Africa will disappear within 20 years on current trends. Infant mortality, diseases, military conflicts etc have never been at lower levels. Yes, bastard neoliberalism has really not done much for the world has it.
-
Never heard of that conspiracy theory and having just looked over some of the contents of the Wikipedia pages for Adorno and the Beatles, maybe someone like him provided some influence, but the Beatles apparently were primarily inspired by several or more known and popular music and song artists.
-
Are you defending neoliberalism? It's as sick as right-wing fascism. They're both rotten. And to be liberal essentially is ambiguous, for a person can liberally commit minor to extreme crimes while pretending that it's okay, albeit not publicizing it, since they'd know of the illegal nature of their crimes. When speaking of neoliberalism it's to infer very rotten liberalism, rather than anything just or sensible. There's nothing defensible about either.

Deleted my post, for it was due to a little confusion on my part. See my reply to david8157 for the explanation if you wish.

Deleted my post. Your question prompted me to do a couple of Web searches and I now see that noprofitmaximierung meant Vladimir Lenin, rather than having misspelled the last name of John Lennon of the Beatles. I've heard of Lenin very few times, and the Beatles were antiwar, et cetera, so I thought noprofitmaximierung might've mean Lennon.
-
Libertarianism is in itself the essence of neoliberalism... its the old liberal school but with a new name. Libertarianism is a fraud, created in the Mont Pelerin Society, funded by rich oligarchs such as Rockeffeller.

Great video
-
Well, I thought that it was pretty much all of the Beetles band members who didn't like capitalism, but this video raised a question in my mind. So you confirm that Lenin also didn't approve of capitalism, or at least not crony capitalism.

Thank you, Red Front!
