The welfare system in Europe has been cemented since the late 40s and early 50s, US had a prosperous welfare system during the Golden Age of Capitalism where nominal taxes for the upper bracket were 92%. It is corrupt politicians that steal the money, give too big contracts to projects and generally waste money that fucked everything up, not that there is children benefits and pensions. I'd also like to see pension benefits adjusted to inflation over time, at least in Greece, I doubt there would be a significant rise after the adoption of EU, after all, this whole video is full of bogus. -
Doesn't help when most European countries have a third or more of there workers in the public sector while the UK has a fifth and the USA a seventh.

We should abolish all central banks and allow interests rates be set by private banks according to amount of savings and loans. Simple law of supply and demand. People need this vital signal not to be set by central bank, and fiat currency not to be printed by the same organ.
