Four Horsemen is a 2012 British documentary film directed by Ross Ashcroft. The film criticises the system of fractional reserve banking, debt-based economy and political lobbying by banks, which it regards as a serious threat to Western civilisation. It criticises the War on Terror, which it maintains is not fought to eliminate militant organizations, but to create larger debt to the banks. As an alternative, the film promotes a return to classical economics and the gold standard. Among those interviewed are Joseph Stiglitz, former chief economist at the World Bank; Noam Chomsky, linguistics professor; John Perkins, author of Confessions of an Economic Hit Man; Herman Daly, economy professor and former economist at the World Bank; and Max Keiser, TV host and former trader. The film was released in the United Kingdom on 14 March 2012. A book based on the film has been published. Reception[edit] In Time Out London, Derek Adams wrote: "Instead of bombarding us with sensational imagery and scaremongering, this competently narrated, intelligibly structured and cleverly illustrated film presents its case via a succession of insights from a group of smart, rational orators. ... This is a film perhaps better suited to DVD, simply because there are thoughts here of such profundity you might feel the need to reach for the rewind button. I, for one, have been left substantially enlightened."[1] Peter Bradshaw wrote in The Guardian: "In these parlous times, there can never be enough criticism of bankers and tame politicians enjoying what Milton Friedman called socialism for the rich. Ashcroft's documentary lands some punches, but it is hampered by a PowerPoint-style presentation. ... Ashcroft unveils some bold cures at the end, but we need more specifics."

Chomsky is pure evil.

The notion that individuals can change the "system" by improving themselves, education, activism, participation, and by uniting for a cause, etc. is a myth!
The system is rigged in favor of the rich. They have all the power and money to do what they please and have no conscience with the exception of a few. They have control over money, the police, security organizations, National Guard, media, military and would crush any movement or individual who would be a threat to their rule. There are plenty of precedents in history to prove that.
This presentation is nothing but a philosophical masturbation. Look who they bring in, former members of the leadership of the World Bank, IMF, Wall Street "experts" who created or added to the problem and already made their millions by taking advantage of the system. They say capitalism is good but we need a "different capitalism". Are you kidding me? They used Chomsky for good measure but his solution is the same.
The only way change will occur is shown by history: economic collapse, natural or man made disaster or - if we are lucky - maybe a strong individual like FDR with his powerful followers and supporters who would make drastic changes to the system. -
Sad that ultimately Chomsky will be remembered for throwing his ideals under the bus to become a Zionist gatekeeper. Do a search on it and see the truth.

Love the title! You conspiracy nuts really must stop watching movies, to get your ideas. First Dan Brown writes a book, made into a movie" The DaVinci Code". Really heavy on the Illuminati, boom, we suddenly have the nameless Illuminati dominating YouTube, with tales of World domination. Then X files the movie comes out. We see a book of conspiracy shown" The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse", boom, now we suddenly have the conspiracy of the Four Horsemen, with suitably apt names including Noah Chomsky! There is a new movie coming out called"X men Apocalypse". I expect something will be pinched from that too!

A tax based on consumption (I guess they mean apart from sales tax) is or could be reasonable. But what is necessarily foregone about income tax at least when it's well graduated for those who "earn" more to pay more and reasonable to & or passing by the middle class and poor? And seeing as so much of the world problems are caused or aggravated by the vast gaps between so many and the upper classes shouldn't we be concerned with the over-concentration of money as well as the consumption of those who have it? Doesn't the extremely disproportionate amount of money of the One Percent etc. in itself add up to too much power(influence, potential, ...?

Brilliant documentary from 2012 that is ringing so painfully true now, and will keep ringing true in the generations to come. Thank you, all of you who worked on this film for bringing this dimension of reality to consciousness.

Why are americans paying taxes to mind control and use directed energy weapons (V2K, remote neural monitoring, microwaving, scalar, sound) and gang stalking on innocent targeted individuals? These weapons can't be seen or traced and the victims are left with little recourse. The media, politicians, and psychiatry all cover and are complicit in allowing this torture. www.everydayconcerned.net, www.informationfortis.wordpress.com, www.freedomfchs.net, www.ICAACT.org, www.GMNKen.com

Americans for most of the twentieth century had more than their fair share, this was seen as fortune not greed or avarice but reward until recently. The world is catching up and we are so far merely part of the equation that spreads the wealth of nations as part of a whole which feeds and houses those who have not had such to a proper degree previously, do I have this right so far? I would say we are well past the age of decadency however, remember the last few decades of the last century, gone and we now are experiencing a time when we can relax and do it better, feed more, house more, and stay a peace where using our intelligence and resources things will continue to create longer lives of health, wealth, and properly managed resources such as wind, solar, etc. look forward to our future improving..To condemn ourselves out of hand is like getting hit by your own car...Regarding the banks, creating money out of nothing keeps them ahead of the inflationary curve even though they help create it. It is a benefit of having our banks in the forefront of finance, fiat works regardless of the complaints against it I believe, lending money has made our world the success it is to a great extent. I would beware anyone who says their ideas running contrary to the status quo are better as a risk not worth taking, every system of government has been tried, the democracy we have works. I would only say that we have to pay attention where we play by the rules which have worked. We here in the U.S. are the biggest winners so far followed by Europe who older have made mistakes we can learn from and success's we can embrace..

The only thing I disagree with is the idea that capitalism can ever be an ethical system being at its root an oppressive system to workers. Not everyone can be a capitalist and the wage slaves will always suffer
-
It was not the baby boom generation - the average person had no part in this - the elites that run this country did this, so let's not blame the poor guy in the street - he has been lied to, poor educated, distracted to the point that the fool can't tell what is real or not real anymore. The elites of this country like the Henry Kissengers and David Rockefellers have destroyed this country because they have contempt for the average man.

Applying for the greatest job in the land, the greatest task of which is to SERVE.
People feel strongly about Donald Trump-either they believe truly that he will, as his hat proclaims, make America great again, or else they have viewed his ascension in the GOP with amusement that has slowly turned to horror. After all, many wonder, is a willingness to say whatever a person is thinking without actually thinking about it a virtue, if what is being said is cruel or has no factual basis? No, It is not. In fact, it should be of great concern to anyone witnessing this all unfold. I'm definitely in the amusement and horror category. To my disappointment witnessing the division of the American people and the hatred that has ensued has for me had a personal impact.
Textbook narcissitic personality disorder.
So what does having a narcissistic personality disorder entail? Donald Trump’s bullying nature, such as taunting John McCain for his capture and status as a prisoner of war during Vietnam, or constantly saying that GOP candidate Jeb Bush has low energy. Lying Ted. The list goes on. Donald Trump is a 5 time draft dodger!! I hardly think he's qualified to mock those that served our country and were tortured as POWs Who does that??? Donald Trump, that's who.
Narcissism is an extreme defense against one’s own feelings of worthlessness. To degrade people is really part of a cluster-B personality disorder. It's antisocial and shows a lack of remorse for other people. The way to make it OK to attack someone verbally, psychologically, or physically is to lower them. That’s what he’s doing. The division of winners and losers is actually a symptom.
Narcissists like Donald Trump are constantly driven to prove themselves among the ‘winners’ of the world, often by triumphing over or denigrating other people as comparative losers. If you examine Trump’s language in his public statements as well as in the debates, you will hear him proclaim his winner status again and again while sneering at his detractors as losers.
This type of “me-versus-everyone” mentality and behavior is often a narcissist’s way of trying to hide feelings of emptiness and shame. People with high levels of narcissism tend to be driven by unconscious feelings of unworthiness. The constant self-aggrandizement reflects an ongoing, non-stop effort to build up and support a self-image that contradicts this unconscious sense of defect. You don’t need a doctorate in psychology to wonder whether a man who feels the need to forever trumpet his superiority might feel an entirely different way underneath. The gentleman doth protest too much, me thinks.
He’s applying for the greatest job in the land, the greatest task of which is to serve, but there’s nothing about the man that is service-oriented. He’s only serving himself.
So what does that say about those who support Donald Trump? After all I've been asked and even demanded that I share my perspective. The Trump “enigma” may arise from the fact that some Americans believe that Trump is some sort of bellwether, that a man whose own website refers to him as the “the very definition of the American success story, continually setting the standards of excellence” has an appeal to a certain mindset. For me, the compelling question is the psychological state of his supporters. They are unable or unwilling to make a connection between the challenges faced by any president and the knowledge and behavior of Donald Trump in a democracy, that is disastrous and would lead this country to very dark days. I will not cosign such stupidity. This is why we are witnessing such hatred and divide in our magnificent country.
Trump has isolated himself and creates enemies where there were none. Trump cannot see the error of his ways. You wonder why Americans are attacking Trump? The will of the overall majority of the people do not want Trump as their commander and Chief and he damn sure isn't my president!!! -
LOL who's the asshole that says Disco and Donna Summer brought on the end of the world? What an asshole.
