[Notes:tight of Lagarde] Christine Lagarde is in Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Forum pressing leaders to give the I-M-F more cash so it can help if more lending is needed in Europe. [Notes:Audience members] Specifically it is looking for 500 billion dollars. SOT Christine Lagarde, CEO, International Monetary Fund "It is critical that the eurozone members actually develop a clear, simple firewall that can operate both to limit the contagion, and number 2, to provide this sort of act of trust in the eurozone so that the financing needs of that zone can actually be met if the finances of the world are not interested in that zone." [Notes:wide of panel] Her plea appeared to find a measure of support from ministers of Britain and Japan, sizable I-M-F shareholders that would be expected to contribute to the fund. George Osborne, British Chancellor of the Exchequer: "More needs to be done. I think the eurozone understands that and I think it needs to happen in the next few weeks." [Notes:protesters] The day wasn't filled with just talks about money. Outside of the venue protesters were making their presence known including occupy protesters demonstrating against corporate greed and a trio of topless women who were arrested after trying to scale a fence.
