But if you're planning to enjoy the decline you may want to change your plans, because there is no dystopia in our immediate future. As I've gotten older, my opinion of human societies (American/Western society in particular) has lowered considerably. Any new technologies will eventually be used to make life more unbearable for the masses and easier for the top 1%. There will be more grand utopian visions/social engineering, a million more classifications to permanently limit "undesirables," people will be observed 24/7, and they will be milked to the maximum extent for their labor/contributions to society.
If you want any happiness in this life as an independent person/free thinker, you need to get as far away from human society as you can. Unfortunately, with modern world technologies, that is virtually impossible these days.
I feel bad for young boys having to grow up under this Western social/educational system. I was lucky to have gotten most of my schooling (K-Grad school) done before 2001. Today, I doubt they would have allowed me to complete everything without some major form of harassment. They no longer want straight white males in US universities...and without degrees, their future is very dim.
