GOD I fucking hate Star Trek, not only is it contradictory, stereotypical, and hypocritical but it's also a marxist wet dream come true AND the Star Trek Federation is Fascist and here is proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4KBPaS-1PU&index=13&list=PLHLoLiL1nL8G7_JGVKGefUxllIZnP39vU&t=4s

MIRROR MIRROR, and IN THE MIRROR DARKLY?

I can point out a lot of issues here but three points.
-Earth was a Warp culture when the vulcans made contact. They had only one experimental warp ship but it was a warp culture and thus the prime directive would not have applied (or at the least it is boarderline).
-The Founders controlled space far larger in area then the Federation and their ability to become anything is a unique and very powerful ability.Using that power to cause issues in the federation is no small thing and is less an point that is shows weaknesses the Fed and more that they are themselves a force of nature. Even they concluded how ever that even with all their power as beings, slave races and empires, they themselves admitted that Humans were not controllable and only considered that wiping them would let them win much less control Federation space.
- The Maquis was a terrorist group that was formed in the disputed worlds after a war between the Federation and the Cardasians . The terms agreed to by both sides was to end the fighting as both sides were unable to end it and were grinding each other down. The Maquis were not wanting to move even though the Federation did offer other homes and transport. They just wanted to stay even if a war causing many more lives was the result. Eventually they did not just attack the Cardaian Military but also the Federation trying to restart the war of even separate from the federation no matter how many other world sor people may be lost. Basically it ws not that they had a moral foundation but that they did not like a decision by the government and wanted to restart a war to keep the land they had. -
long but AMAZING video !

Species , not Race . . .
-
the prime directive is not a earth policy it is a federation so a majority of federation members including the Vulcans must have agreed to it
-
that is wrong the federation is like the un or the European union with each planet being independent entitie and the federation providing a loose federal government providing only common defense and monitary policy and other common things a single planet cannot do
-
there was money in star trek in the trouble with tribbles uhura offered to buy a tribble for 3 credits where as Cyrano jones gave one to her I propose the people use a debit card system and are paid in federation credits

No matter how things are in space; how extraterrestrial relations might go, unfortunately I can't foresee a time that there isn't a time where there isn't at least one war on Earth. Hopefully there will be a day where people won't feel Envy, Greed and such, but until then there will always be a war somewhere.

I enjoy the star trek franchise, but I now regard the vision espoused here as unbelievable, naïve and plainly ignorant of what humans are. IOW the paradise of Federation Earth is as much fantasy as Warp Drive. I also regard what I now call the Vulcan Sanction, namely the view that evil comes from emotion, as intrinsically irrational and repressive. As a star struck boy in the 1960's I enthusiastically adopted this and breakdown was all the came of it by the time I reached adulthood. Of course atheists and secularists like Roddenberry have to have hope in humanity for the bleak logic of their own presumption, namely atheism, being pure and total nihilism, is unbearable to them. Star Trek is entertainment, a romp through time and space but as a utopian blueprint it is deadly dangerous

I liked this video, you make me question Startrek philosophy, one that i always believe it was the best for humanity, now i can continue to thing in how to improve.

Erm...dont wanna nitpick or anything, there were NO proxy conflicts (or any other armed conflicts) in Europe between the end of WW2 and the fall of CCCP - the first "proxy war" was the illegal war West made against Yugoslavia (actually CCCP was gone, so it was not a proxy war per se, it was more of US stabilizing their "love and freedom" grasp of Europe). That was the first armed conflict in Europe since the end of World War 2. You may think it was justified or whatever - we can discuss that...id just like to stick to the facts -)

Also the idea Starfleet has a monopoly on space travel is inarguably wrong, a quick search of "Civilian Federation starships" online proves as much. Also the prime directive doesn't apply to them, they're obviously privately owned.
I can see no other reason you'd drop this outside of lying to fit a "federation is evil" narrative. Given that's such a basic lie I'm starting to wonder how much of this video is bullshit.
By the way, If I'm a "leftist autist" for pointing out a literal fact, that's a hell of a lot better than whatever you are. -
hell yes, goblin theme for the ferengi :D
