Forestry (and paper) is one of the most sustainable industries there are, many new trees got planted as a result of all the paper wasted in this little gimmicky feature. The trouble is, most do-gooder uninformed misguided environmentalists still view forestry as the industry they should passionately attack.

I like that you're trying to help the environment, but your video gives a "do what I say, not what I do" message, which doesn't help the cause.

And there are many ways you could have made a low-budget and environmentally-friendly emphasis of those phrases. Most video editing software (even the stuff preinstalled in most systems) allows text overlays. And if you just wanted to direct upload, you could have used YouTube annotations to highlight each phrase.

I fully respect (and agree) with what you're saying. But I think you seriously undercut the point of your message by using so much paper. It's like if I advocated for animal rights while clubbing a baby seal. I know you are deleting negative comments so feel please free to delete this after you've read it. Peace.

And there are already some cases where you can see how powerful it can be. Nobody could imagine 10 years ago, that it is possible to read a blog about the Irak-war, written by a soldier or by local residents who is reporting live what is happening. Nobody could imagine following the terrorist attacks in Bombay (Mumbai) live via Twitter, because hostages are sending SMS and tweets from their blackberries.

I am discussing this issue with a few friend since a long time and we asked us, what makes our generation? In the 70s there have been the hippies, in other generations they fighted for their rights etc... and today? People are watching stupid videos on Youtube... and many young people use the web as the number one source for entertainment and information. So I really believe that we can use "our" tools, instruments - the web to do something for our future. What do you think?

Turning the power of Social Networking into Social Activism could be the key to do something for our world. This might nothing new for you, but it is if you look back 5-10 years. We can activate much more people in short time frame today, than it would be possible a decade ago.

I invested the paper to reach you and other people via youtube. We need to get attention if we want to change the world to the better.
