The Truth about the Vietnam War
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
Did the United States win or lose the Vietnam War? We are taught that it was a resounding loss for America, one that proves that intervening in the affairs of other nations is usually misguided. The truth is that our military won the war, but our politicians lost it. The Communists in North Vietnam actually signed a peace treaty, effectively surrendering. But the U.S. Congress didn't hold up its end of the bargain. In just five minutes, learn the truth about who really lost the Vietnam War. Communist governments should never be given any legitimacy and should be squashed. Do not recognise China, Vietnam, Cuba, Laos. Have the world embargo them all until they collapse. Communists show no regard for humanity and think of people as expendable for their greater utopia.

too bad they lost, lol

What he said is true. I was there. I was in the air war. Nixon ordered us to mine the NV harbors and the North could not resupply. They ran out of ammunition. The B-52's rolled into Hanoi and the North Vietnamese had nothing to shoot back with. This account of the end of the war is right. They were being obliterated like Dresden and Tokyo, and they gave up. If you've never witnessed what a B-52 can do (173 500-lb bombs each, flying in groups of 3 aircraft), you have no idea. They gave up. They had to. We won. Get over it. The military gave 58,000 lives to defend freedom, and the Democrats through it away, starting with the miserable John Kerry, who built his political career lying about our troops. I'm so glad Kerry is soon to be a nobody. He's a fool. Now the fool has stabbed Israel in the back, just like he did the South Vietnamese.

Saigon is now called Ho Chi Minh City, but Prager insists we "won" the war in some meaningful way simply because we killed more of the enemy. Maybe Prager also thinks that Clinton "won" the election because she got more votes.

U.S imperial propaganda

The Democrats have been betraying this nation for many years.

This video is bull. The Paris accords were not victory. North Vietnam never intended to abide by any bit of the accords. So no Watergate did not lose the war. It was lost by incompetence of Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.

We (Vietnam) never lose if US dare to attack!!

I'd rather let die 4 million vietnamese, than 4 million feminism.

My parents used to live in Vietnam until the war they HAD to move. They lived in south. Now USA isn't helping South Vietnam and now the country looks horrible. But why would North Vietnam want to test to see if the United States were still protecting and if that was just a plan. If North Vietnam already attack villages and USA didn't help, why didn't they stop attacking. Now a lot of people call Saigon Ho Chi Minh City. Also why did the congress said to stop helping.
Now in Vietnam if you say certain things you can get arrested. -
When I talked with a veteran from early in the war, he said the US did not understand the culture of Vietnam at all. That there was a very long history of the oldest son getting all the inheritance, i.e. land and goods and the other sons would be kicked out to fend for themselves and that mercenary was a common lifestyle, where they would go back and forth between whatever side was available. This is what he described between north and south. I think that this war was motivated politically from a failure to know the culture we were dealing with and from a world view of those in political power in the US seeing the world from the limited view of European cultures.
