The Zero Sum Fallacy [PovertyCure Episode 2]
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
"The Zero Sum Game is one of the great economic fallacies. It assumes that if one person gets rich, it must mean that someone else gets poorer. That's, that's reliant upon a static view of wealth. It's like a pie; the idea that there's just one pie, and the pie can't grow. In market economies and dynamic, open economies, what you'll find is that the pie grows. This is very important, because what that means is that everyone can start to get out of poverty." - Dr. Samuel Gregg For more information and videos from the PovertyCure DVD Series visit http://store.povertycure.org/pc-media/povertycure-dvd-series.html

Here's another zero sum fallacy: giving money to the poor will make filthy rich capitalists poor. Reality: giving money to the poor jump-starts and multiplies economic activity. When people have money to spend and to start their own businesses, that boosts overall business demand and helps the whole of society.

whats is it relation to the control of population around the world?

The problem is that our economy is not that open, or at least not to the extent that all social classes benefit from it. Some aspects of the economy are clearly zero-sum game though, like the property market, for example, where land scarcity is an unavoidable problem.

pretending like capitalism as an idea can exist outside of its consequences is laughable. it's a confined system controlled and regulated by governments, to pretend otherwise would be the real mythology.
-
ha, dude, that may be the case with Federal Reserve notes, but that's not how it works with private currency, which is what we had (and it worked) until the government forced US citizens to use its currency. Who would invest in debt currency unless they were held at gun point? Also, the economy is more about the assets and services you have in an economy as a whole. As long that's growing and or becoming efficient relative to the size of the population, one's gain isn't another's loss.

money is made out of debt retard if someone gets richer another does get poorer learn about capitalism dumb fuck

Its a clip; its not meant to explain everything. So, no, you're not supposed to take his word for it. You're supposed to take initiative and find answers to the questions that this clip was meant to raise. What you were not supposed to do was rage over your wounded sense of self-entitlement at the expense of real critical thinking and investigation.
