TICAD: The scramble for Africa

As Africa opens up its abundance to the rest of the world which has led to the western world scrambling for resources in Africa which is considered the last frontier for global economy, questions still abound whether the continent has positioned itself to reap the benefits accruing from these suitors. Analysts, leaders and scholars have questioned if the continent has the requisite negotiating skills as world trade bodies come calling, the likes of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development –TICAD-that opens in Nairobi.
