Yalor Sg tax everything! Road tax, housing tax, gst, COE, Tariff, etc etc. Only the civil servants get paid big bucks, the rest slog and slog like pigs. Middle income families bear the worse, poor people get help frm govt, rich ppl can afford. It is a country where they suck the rich, feed the poor. You know whats the real problem? The harder ypu work to earn money, the more the govt tax from u to help the poor. So natutally u think everyone becomes lazy and feed off the govt, BUT THE govt rewards those who 'work like mad' and Sgreans being kiasi, they all choose to work like mad so they can get rewards. This drives the economy and the govt can have a never ending supply of cash. BEING RICH MEANS THERE ARE FLAWS IN THE SYSTEM THAT HAVE YET TO BE RECTIFIED. Take for eg. a honda hrv costs 19K in many countries, in singapore, its 110K. The COE itself is 45K, even more exp than the car, then theres tax and everything. The govt earns abt 30000 a week and a normal sgrean gets 2000 a month. Civil servants like teachers, even PE teachers, starting pay is 4500 a month. A perfect eg of unequal income distribution. If you dont beat them, join them. Else if you could migrate, never come back to sg again.
