Thank you. This video really helped and so far was the only piece of information that actually solved the money problem of the Colonial era. All the other advisory pages proved rather vague or ineffective. Very well done! I feel the game should give the option of looking into the financials in detail. Like a detailed overview so that one knows what is going on - but not a necessary element. For instance, when the pop-in says "for $6.700 exported", Idon't know if that entails a profit or not. Most of the time, one is in the dark about effects of actions and you turned on some light! The tutorials are quite useless and put one on the wrong foot..

Excellent tutorials. Thank You!

best clue to know: THE JOURNAL building!!! +4-5% PRIORITY IS MONEY AND REVOLUTIONNARY...NOT TIME!!!
my opinion ... too much ranches so far(3-4). MILK PRIORITY FOR CHEESE INDUSTRY! better plantations vs. ranches. upgrade plantations give good boost$$$. plantation at 4 stars budget$$ is enough to attract people. preference of plantations. 2x sugar(upgraded) 2x tabac(NOT UPGRADED) for next industries available 1-2x CORN 2x coton 2x pineapple 2-3 logging camp is enough. 3 teamsters NEAR INDUSTRY/PLANTATIONS/... -
why not produce milk and put cheese industry? first ... milk/meet at least if not only milk.
-
I think you should be the official tutorial guide within the game...

Found this on the Tropico 5 wiki. http://tropico.wikia.com/wiki/Goods_(Tropico_5)

I was playing on very low political difficulty just to test how easy it was, I started the game with 100k and spent 100% of it on only parking lots. My entire island was a massive parking lot with nothing else but the palace and my approval was still at 41

I've noticed if you have the budget on max on all buildings, as you educate your citizens they will leave the farms/ranches/mines and work in better (less profitable) places. I guess hire union workers managers?
-
What does ctrl click on the budget? Does it automatically do the same for all of the other buildings of the same type?
-
those teamsters are going to bug me for the rest of the series :( and so are the roads by the mines >:(
-
So i thin you had trouble with the teamsters office because the first one was facing to the centre instead of to the out side so the road in was blocking construction of the 2nd office. also if there is no road into the office dose the building still function?
-
Had to stop watching to say this is awesome and thanks man :) I'll be watching, subbing and liking them all lol
-
Definitely subscribing, love the effort you're putting in your video since the first video of this series ! Good job to you sir!
-
I realy love your voice!
Subscriber for you! -
One thing that is hard about this game for me is organizing stuff. Is it easier once in maybe the modern times to have like all the residences in one area of the island, all of the military in another part of the island, all the tourism and entertainment sites in one part of the island. I just want to have my stuff organized across the island and not scrambled around in random spots. Is it possible maybe later in the game?

I like the way you explain and reason your decisions. it makes sense and is enjoyable to watch. tropico 5 is my first city building game (so my gateway city builder game)
I have played about 12 hours so I'm quite far into the campaign and doing quite well. however that's after A LOT of trail and error.
if I had watched this video first I would have done so much better early on lol.
anyway great video you have earned a sub! -
I'm late to the party, but thank you for such a brilliantly helpful and well articulated video! Just after watching part one, I've already had a lot of questions answered regarding the interplay of economics and construction priorities - can't wait to watch the rest of this series!
-
It's nice to finally see someone make sense of a game. Fantastic tips, you've helped me get started. Thanks for the awesome videos. Plus it's good to see another British on youtube haha. Btw you're teamsters office wouldn't go in as you had the back of one facing the front/road way to the other :)

Yo Skye! Ace vids! I recently got tropico for free on PS4 and your videos have helped massively. Keep up the good work!

Hi Skye! Really like these tips man, I originally started watching your stuff from your Cities Skylines videos, you've got a good knack for these kind of games. Also I really loved your Banished series haha. I actually started watching that after you named your city in Cities Skylines after your family in Banished.
The Banished series was just so fun to watch though, I loved how much you kept track of the family tree in that, it really made the series so much better and the drama that unfolded was so funny to watch xD Been a sub for a long time but still finding more gems from you man, keep up the good work :)
