Victorian Budget 2015/16 - The Hon. Tim Pallas MP

Following the release of the 2015/16 Victorian Budget, hear The Hon. Tim Pallas MP, Treasurer of Victoria, share details of the government’s policy and investment priorities, budget announcements, infrastructure program, industry and regional development policy, and vision for the state’s economy. The Victorian Treasurer also responds to the events around the recent Victorian infrastructure funding cuts from the Federal Budget released on May 12. This event was recorded at the Victorian economic development forum held by CEDA in Melbourne on May 13, 2015. Tim was elected to the Victorian Parliament in 2006 and is the State Member for Werribee. Tim has previously served as the Minister for Roads and Ports and later, Minister for Major Projects under the previous Labor Government. As a Minister in the Bracks/Brumby Government, Tim was responsible for overseeing major infrastructure projects including the M1 upgrade, Deer Park bypass, Geelong Ring Road, the AAMI park development and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre CEDA -- the Committee for Economic Development of Australia -- is a respected independent national organisation with an engaged cross-sector membership.
