Extinction of Democracy and the Current Global Economy as a Result of Sovereign Debt and how to Prepare for the Future Economy. Martin Armstrong is an American economist best known for discovering the relationship between pi and the business cycle, expressed in his Economic Confidence Model. As the former Chairman of Princeton Economics Institute, Armstrong gained international popularity for his accurate predictions, earning the nickname “Mr. Yen” in Japan and the title of Hedge Fund Manager of the Year in 1998. In 1999, Armstrong learned of the harsh realities of the American justice system when he was wrongly accused of fraud and became the longest federal civil contempt prisoner in American history. Currently, Armstrong operates an active news blog that focuses on the global economy. His latest and largest project – Socrates – is an AI system that monitors the entire global market by tracking international capital flows. Armstrong aims to provide a public service for the average person to comprehend the global economy and for professionals to access the most sophisticated international analysis available. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

someone do a TEDtalk on how to shoot a TEDtalk properly - was this filmed by a three year old?
-
Great audio! NOT!!!
-
I downloaded this video and ran it through 14 different filters to bring it to a "tolerable" level. I used it as a test case for cleaning up on-camera mic audio. I'm impressed what you're able to do with Logic Pro x and Final Cut Pro X. :)

Here is the proof Ted is garbage. Sound is garbage.
-
Maybe redo the video with subtitles. Or provide a transcript in the description, so we can just read it.
-
Probably someone with audio editing skills could clean this up... It's unwatchable as is. Pity. Martin is brilliant.
-
Fix the soundtrack Tedx Talks. This sounds more like a Tedx Mumbles production.
-
are you kidding me? the audio is a joke, I don't understand a word with headphones on. I can't believe that you at Ted really did this, you had one goddamn job.
-
What a wondrous coincidence that a TED talk with this message has shit audio quality.
-
Armstrong deserves better.
-
This is the worst audio I've ever heard on a Ted talk. It makes me wonder if it is intentional.
-
Terrible sound quality, making it almost impossible to follow. Frustrating as Armstrong is so bright, and so worth watching/listening too.
-
Was this filmed with a potato?
-
cant understand what he is saying. horrible audio.
-
glad it was posted, but the audio issues make it almost impossible to understand. Sad because Martin's message is an important one.
