Scandinavian sterilization programmes were unconscionable, of course, but eugenics was a popular belief in the early 20th century, based on junk science. Winston Churchill, our best loved Prime Minister, believed in eugenics and argued in parliament that we should take the "mentally defective" out of society and put them in forced labour camps. His thinking was a product of the time he lived in. No social democrat would propose that today.
   
   Also, Swedish taxes are somewhat regressive (as are UK taxes because of VAT and council tax), but Sweden has strong trade unions and collective bargaining. Thatcher broke the back of Britain's trade unions. That's why Sweden has much more income equality than us.
3. Why are there lots of xenophobics who have not befriend or met a muslim in their lives so worried about muslims in Scandinavia? They are judging and scapegoating Islam through guilt by association since Communism does not work as a fear tactic any longer after US/EU-China economic relations. 5. Scandinavian countries are successful, yes. A part from Sweden. Allowing hundreds of thousands of military aged male muslims into your country that lives off of the welfare system is not such a bright idea. 13. The professor talks like a somebody is running after him. Though, he explains very important things. Such as; "a ceo or boss earns three times or four times much than you is ok.
