Since this discussion occurred in 2013, we have moved closer to the next catastrophic asset bubble in the world's property markets. Land prices in much of the United States have climbed back to their 2007 levels and continue to climb. This imposes huge stress on the cost of living for households experiencing stagnant or even declining income. Rising land prices also impose huge stresses on business profits, particularly for those businesses that lease and do not own their operating facilities. Australia is another country experiencing heavy property market stresses on the nation's economy and population.
