Some Polynesian History says Tongans influenced the building of these statues. Around that time the Tongan Empire stretched throughout the Pacific.After slaving the natives and slaves they brought themselves they built these statues. There's a cave on Easter Island called "Ana Kai Tangata". Europeans or the natives wouldn't be able to name it BUT Tongans themselves.Which is a Tongan line meaning Man Eating Cave. Who knows, Tongans have built monument in Tonga I know of near impossible with the lack of technology back then, wouldn't be surprised if they were behind these Moais on Easter Island
