governments never really tell how much they borrow or spend every day. sadly US defense spending is one of them..its easy to just tuck it all under a rug. another issue i might point out is that there are so many issues at hand and we all continue to live our normal lives and we continue to ignore the bullshit.

You can follow the good advice of the doing it ourselves people, but you don't necessarily have to prepare for the crash! Maybe it'll come to that, or maybe we'll figure out a way to change our system.

The cure is simple BIRTH CONTROL, the earth is not the size of the sun, once a glass of water is full, it's full, The church wants its flock, business wants its slaves, and the governments want their tax payers, they want us to breed like rats the party is OVER, time to make them pony up the money, but the general population needs to get on the same page as well, stop the divide and conquer that our leaders try on us, the misconception that people that are doing ok is they think they will be spared the message is simple wake up, I live LEAN, MEAN, and CLEAN, it's not rocket science, also read and get your kids to read The 48 Laws of Power.

The economic crisis means that mankind, including yourself (don't think you're excluded) have no understanding for how the nature of life works. What can be done about it is knowing the simple truth of life. Google "Truth Contest" if you are ready.

If the dollar is no longer the global currency, a new global trade currency would have to be agreed upon. Instead of being based on silver and gold it could be based on baskets of commodities, with the number of goods per unit of global currency being agreed upon internationally. So we would all know what a unit of global currency can buy. This could be changed over the period of year to accurately reflect the availability and demand of certain goods, and a negative interest rate on hoarding of goods could be applied which would keep the world economy from stagnating and raise revenue for the world to use according to need.
The 'white economy' will be absolutely vital. When a national currency fails, the only way to keep goods moving would be to use asset based local currencies. You could set one up in your own community, either using the net or paper based systems such as Ithaca hours or Time Dollars. You could offer a minimum wage of $10 an hour and use them with swipe cards to get discounts at your local store. After a dollar crash your local currency would become valuable and would circulate throughout the economy in a similar way in which modern currencies do now, except without inflation, due to it being an asset based, skills based local economy. -

I hear her loud and clear. The current system is bad, environmentalism will miraculously fix the system without the need of an explanation. There are miracle technologies that will fix the world, and the government regulation is not going to stifle all those innovation.
