Where Does the U.S. Rank in World Economic Freedom?
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
The 2016 Index of Economic Freedom analyzes economic policy developments related to economic freedom in 186 economies. Economies rated “free” or “mostly free” enjoy incomes that are over twice the average levels in all other countries and more than four times higher than the incomes of “repressed” economies. Nations with higher degrees of economic freedom prosper because they capitalize more fully on the ability of the free-market system to generate and reinforce dynamic growth through efficient resource allocation, value creation, and innovation. When is the 2017 edition being published? January 2017 i'm guessing!
-
the data generated by this index doesnt make any sense at all.
-
Now lets have a look at inequality, ..... O Dear!
-
Thanks mainly to OBAMA.

How do you measure the propensity for large organisations to gain monopolistic advantages? Is that counted as a freedom (i.e to the free right of a company to hog all resources) or is that counted as an impediment (impeding the growth of competition)?
Just wondering... -
but hong kong is shit

why is my country the most superior and most economic free country colored in the DARKEST RED and has the last PLACE given only 2.3 POINTS? Are you CRAZY? o_O
My country has the highest GDP per capita in the world( 820 000 dollar/capita), if I am not mistaken.
I myself making more than 900 000 dollar per year like all my friends do. I live in a large building with over 300 rooms and a helicopter landing pad on extensive grounds, ALONE. I own 2 helicopters mil2, one small plane, 3 small yachts, production of means in form of 3D printer, robots, bike and 1 PMC car.
If you dont have any DATA from my country, which I have to assume, please dont GIVE IT A COLOR or any POINTS. Thanks. >__< -
Heritage Foundation cries about the poverty in Bolivia but says nothing about Honduras's poverty that is much worse, presumably because Bolivia is ruled by socialists and Honduras is ruled by capitalists, lol. Extremely biased economic freedom "index" masqueraded as fact. How do you judge how economically free a nation is? Based off of how little labor regulations they have? This index seems to love Estonia which is a hellhole for workers' rights.

The Heritage Foudation is not a reliable source in any way, shape or form.

According to the Human Freedom Index America is actually 20TH.
See page 11: http://object.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/human-freedom-index-files/human-freedom-index-2015.pdf -
When propaganda is masqueraded as fact. No doubt heritage has a hidden agenda--deregulate government. I guess the labor wars of the early 1900's were just in vain. We spit on our ancestors
-
i don't know why most European countrys should have a bad labour freedom and how this freedom is measured. For me it seems as if it is an index for capitalistic states. only my opinion so far
-
IN OTHER WORDS, THE MOST CAPITALIST NATIONS
AND THE SMALLEST WELFARE!!!!!! -
I wonder if the "Council" of economic freedom within the Heritage Foundation are aware of the fact that the globally operated mega-banks of the world have collaborated closely with each other to impose a debt based monetary system - that is - all money being created as debt - a as a controlled wealth transfer mechanism, to keep THEM and not the people of the world, free.
Or maybe the prestigious Heritage Foundation is just doesn't think we know? I mean this is kinda old news now. -
You want more economic freedom, democracy, equality of opportunity, less corruption and smaller government? You want more White people.
-
Brazil only gets more and more orange :(

I'll just repeat my previous comment since this video was removed and reposted, the Index of Economic Freedom was created by Heritage and the Wall Street journal back in 1995 and is not peer reviewed by any reputable body. This means that, for all intents and purposes, this is purely bullshit until proven.
Do your homework before you believe anything anyone says. Especially when there is a possible agenda present. -
This said it well. Free markets, small government, low regulations and low taxes lead to prosperity. Big government with big government programs, regulations and high taxes (SOCIALISM) are a sure way to destroy a country's wealth and middle class. This is why Bernie Sanders and his beliefs are anathema to prosperity.
