Where Was the Last Place Discovered on Earth?
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
Humanity has been around for a very long time and it seems like we've discovered just about everything in the world today. But that didn't always used to be the case, the world used to be a huge place waiting to be explored. The question I try to answer in this video is where were the last places, as well as the first places that the human species actually discovered on our world? Spanning hundreds of thousands of years in under 9 minutes, we attempt to give our greatest and quickest answer to that question. Music is by the wonderful Ross Bugden, please go and check out his channel if you haven't already done so. His music is great stuff! They are used here briefly under fair use, and in fact you should probably get Civilization 6. It's awesome. So i guess Norfolk Island wasn't discovered nor the Pitcairn Islands or South Sandwich Islands or Tahiti or Rapui Nue (Easter Island) or Christmas Island or Coco Keeling Islands? You missed quite a few inhabited places.

It's actually believed that an advanced human civilization living alongside hunter gathers traveled to and mapped Antarctica before it froze over, long before it was discovered by Europeans. Graham Hancock talks at length about this in his work.

How about Singapore?

There are some pretty convincing arguments that North America may have indeed been reached by boat around the coast of Russia/Alaska, not by walking, just based on settlement ages and locations, and is plausible due to the land bridge being still quite treacherous and difficult to live through even when available.

Sorry but how did Australia manage to get discovered if the voyagers had to cross through the entire Oceanic Archipelago to get there. Did they just not see every single island, or just chose to ignore them? Or maybe them Africans were into some hardcore shit and decided to sail from Africa to Australia.
