I met a multimillionaire who said he just can't spend his money. Disease has crippled the state. 650,000 millionaires in CA. A disease of the soul, I believe. They don't know they are dead.
Who killed the California economy? Pete Wilson. The guy cut the tax (economy was good) in the first place without no provision of how will it adjut when the economy goes bad.
Except that the quality of life goes to the toilet with gangs, crime, blight, economic flight. California was ruined by illegal immigrants, their artificial inflation of rents and indirectly home values. Combine this with the subprime lending that was targeted to these low income illegals and you have the nexus of the problem. But I don't blame the illegals for more than their disregard for laws. The real villians were contractors and landlords. Especially in construction. String THEM all up :(
