you would think jobs would be calling a young fit motivated 20 year old! all I get is a email saying sorry we found someone else. I can bust ass but you know this is what society has come to. the young fit men are out of work what a joke
-
It's only going to get worse. If you are young. Work two job. If you can save 2 but at least 1 paycheck a month. Whatever you do....Don't have kids.
-
Obama ruined America by telling Americans to stop working out door labor jobs. Now your kids are all left with degrees that don't mean shit because Obama put the migrants first .
-
Most of us young people arent taught how to find a job or apply, all we are taught is "how to go to college".
-
My two cent advice to the teens and 20 somethings of today from my 47 year old perch.
If you are a teen and not from a One Percent family and your parents cannot outright pay for your tuition to college? Do not go to college. College today is an overpriced scam that almost seems designed to get young people into debt from square one. And if you have gone to college and are now running around trying to find some soul sucking corporate white collar entry level low paying job to pay off those loans? Well- you made the wrong choice but don't worry you can still change.
1) Invest in learning a skilled trade. That should be your primary education- learning a valuable TRADE skill that you possess for LIFE and that will always be in demand. Construction, masonry, roofing, carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, land scaping, tailoring. These are skills that you can turn into a full time business or that can act as backups for the rest of your life during lull times in otherwise full time employment. The psychological benefits of this are immense. Knowing a skilled trade- even if it isn't your "dream job" provides you with a confidence that others don't possess. The fear of "unemployment" will never seem as daunting and you will be more likely to take chances in life than those who don't possess a fall back skill.
2) Detach your happiness and your measure of success from materialism and from the illusion of the "American dream."
3) Live at home with your parents for as long as possible and save money. This idea of kids "leaving the nest" is a recent and artificial bullshit notion pushed by mass media in the last 50 years basically designed to get people to SPEND MORE MONEY. Fuck the TeeVEE and the popular culture bullshit of how lame it is to "live int he basement" with the parents. That is what most of humanity did for most of its damn history! That meme that you gotta "Move out" on "your own" is a MARKETING SCAM. There is NOTHING wrong with living at home!
4) Work near where you live. There is no job- NO JOB- worth commuting more than 20 minutes a day for and again- it is not natural to do so and had not been the norm for THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF HUMANITY.
5) Disengage from popular culture. It is not your friend and it is designed to make you miserable and spend money. It sells nothing but illusions and lies. American "Culture" is about one thing- CONSUMPTION. EVERYTHING IN AMERICAN POPULAR CULTURE IS DESIGNED TOWARD ONE END- TO GET YOU TO SPEND MONEY. Do not listen to it. If you must watch the television- do so with an eye- that everything you see is designed to get your dollars and to alienate you from other people outside your little circle of immediate family and a few friends. The world is NOT AT ALL lie it is presented in media. Keep it from defining you or guiding you on ANYTHING.
Good luck youngsters- you'll need it. "The System" is not your friend. It is your enemy and it cares NOTHING for you. You have no "Country". There are only banks that want you in debt and computer algorithms that already are hedging bets on your "productive life spans." -
Well I guess we all have the suicide option I see no future for myself even if I had a full college education , hell I would even be worse off with massive debt, at least I am debt free, but I like many here don't see a future for ourselves and living in your parents basement is really depressing. fuck the future and fuck humanity and its shitty broken economic systems and high over expectations.

I fear going homeless.

Company: we could not find proper employee. People: we could not find a job. Do Google search engine mess things up for us? Purposely showing the wrong results on the internet.

My boyfriend and I both have 4 year degrees. When I graduated I was incredibly naive, I thought employers would appreciate my $80,000 degree and I didn't worry too much about finding a job. Was I ever wrong. I struggled to get any callbacks, and being broke and on a deadline from my parents to move out of the house, I had to resort to fibbing about my experience to an agency to land myself a nanny job. It is NOT what I want to do with my life, and I feel horrible for not being completely honest, but what are we supposed to do? We have to survive. It's really, really hard out there, and employers don't give one care about your degree. Degrees are a dime a dozen, and that's a big part of the problem. All employers care about is experience. And EVEN THEN...even if you apply with 10+ years of experience, it's still hard as hell (so I've been told by family friends). I'm fortunate enough that the nanny job I ended up with pays very well, and I was able to move out and support myself. I know so many people who are not that lucky. I hate thinking it, but a lot of times I wish I'd never gotten my degree. My boyfriend couldn't find a job for a year after graduation, and when he did they were low paying jobs you can't support yourself on.
I wish all of us the best of luck. -
I graduated with a bachelors degree in audio & acoustics engineering & production 7 months ago, I've done work for some major companies, but that was like a one time thing, and I can't land a decent job, my ultimate dream is to work on hollywood movies, I can't even land a basic job.......most companies want and seek people in my field with over 10+ years of experience......that's just depressing me, in the mean time I'm just teaching myself marketing

Oooooohhhh....she's Asian. Yum yum

How to be successful, be in school period.

The job market sucks right now. I have BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with few years experience and still can't find a job in my field. I apply for jobs that I qualified for but get rejection after rejection... it's simply ridiculous the requirements for these jobs. The unreal expectations.. the stupidity of hiring managers ... one reason I m not getting hired is because people doing the hiring saving job for someone they know or person already picked for the position. Even if the person is not as qualified for the position. I want to go get Master's but need to save money 💰 in this garbage system. It's so unfair the way the old generation treat us young people. They Claim we lazy, not looking hard enough or whatever bullshit. Old fucks need to retire you had your time it's our time now
-
You guys this country just elected Donald Trump to the presidency. Dont tell me experience means something. Shoot we could all make a run for Congress and easily get in. Job security, awesome pay, benefits, everything, even paid vacations. And all you have to do is ask for it every 2-6 years.
-
these all laws of economy and methods to become a developed country are making people greedy...human race is going in wrong direction...they wants peace by destroying it....
-
Freedom works. Let's try it! It may mean we have to give up our dreams of micromanaging each other to craft our visions of utopias, but for the sake of the children (in reality, not politician-speak) we need freedom to create jobs faster.
-
the first mistake made by many youth is to choose the wrong field of study. they just pick what they'll enjoy without bothering to find out INDEPENDENTLY of the school counselor where the actual jobs for graduates will be.
-
2 years unemployed im feeling more smart but also more hungryxD
-
Are you saying yoots or youths, Mr Gambini?

It is necessary to reduce the duration of the working week, then we can increase the number of working people.
