America is starting every wars......
-
This is a total BS! Not realistic! Do not use Switzerland a country with very small population as an example! Of course they can easily contain illegal drugs on that country because of it's very small population! STUP!DOS!
-
the problem with your solution is that you just suggest MORE GOVERNMENT
-
I wouldn't call it surrender.
Changing policy would be our Manhattan Project. -
Fuck USA let's all go to Switzerland
-
"Unintended consequences" lmao
-
America will never do this. The war on drugs is sexy to the politicians, stupidity is rampant in this country, fuck look who we're about to have as a leader of the country. More people are about to get fucked by the system and it's all because of a lack of education.

expecting a heroin addict to just go cold turkey is a death sentence because the withdrawal symptoms are that brutal. But when there is no option for them to just get to chill out and wene off the drug for a few months under medical supervision. They are instead expected to hold up their job or other life commitment and they will resort to using again so they can turn up to work functional.

it's absolutely ridiculous that peace loving pacifist pot smokers are in prison for years, while violent drunks are given a night to sober up in jail.

What? This video is sponsored by Open Society Foundations?
This video is brought to you by George Soros. I wonder why he wants drug prohibition to end? -
The video was great with tons of logic as usual, but you missed one teeny tiny point.
The "devistating consequences" of the war on drugs happened EXACTLY as intended. -
Drugs are harmful, and while i dont agree with the hardline approach, i do not think drugs like heroin or weed should ever be decriminalized. And i also dont think that incarceration is wrong when the offenders very well know that its illegal.

In Los Cabos where My Mexican family lives drug dealers started coming there and they are murdering people in their own houses :(

What is rarely discussed about the war on drugs is how the main purpose of it was to provide cover for mass disenfrachisement of non-whites in America, when drug possession (not manufacture and distribution) was made a felony which was then paired with felony disenfranchisement, which strips voting rights. Compound that the American legal system is more likely to judge possession crimes a misdemeanor or other non-felony for white and often more affluent citizens than for non-whites, and that a loophole in the 13th amendment allows for prison labor, you have a system that is effectively a slavery system in all but name and the whips are made of red tape rather than woven leather. Furthermore, since there is a cultural stigma against those with felony records and no desire to give the support needed to lift them out of poverty, entire communities are held down for generations to the detriment of the local and national economy. This doesn't have to be, it is a choice made to cement the power of a select few who would rather have an ever larger share of a shrinking pie and increased instability, rather than invest a tiny fraction of that share into making a bigger pie, resulting in a larger pie and ultimately a larger share overall.
