(14 Apr 2016) The World Bank chief lamented the weak state of the global economy and warned that tax evasion exposed in the Panama Papers investigation fuels the continuation of poverty around the world. World Bank President Jim Yong Kim at a news conference in Washington DC on Thursday said: "In the global economy there are not many bright spots around the world." He spoke on the sidelines of the spring meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. Kim warned that the global economy is at further risk from the refugee crisis, climate change and pandemics.
