In which John Green teaches you about World War II, a subject so big, it takes up two episodes. This week, John will teach you how the United States got into the war, and just how involved America was before Congress actually declared war. John will actually talk a little about the military tactics involved, and he'll get into some of the weaponry involved, specifically the huge amount of aerial bombing that characterized the war, and the atomic bombs that ended the war in the Pacific. I know you guy mock sometimes Canada. But we have been there with you guys when you needed us the most.
December 7th, 1941 was indeed a sad day. That why Canada declared war on Japan that same day. We were relieved to know you would join us too the next day. That's right. That how good neighbors and ally we are. Canada declared war on Japan before the USA because they bombed Pearl Harbor. -

What about France? The supported the allies in north Africa, one of the few troops who stopped Rommel. They also liberated most of France and Paris on their own. And i'm not even mentioning the huge work of General DeGaule, who helped very much in the war. The U.S even was against him as France was for them a world power, who had to be destroyed.
